Reddit has a captive audience, huge numbers of monthly visitors and a sub-reddit for pretty much anything you can imagine because you can very easily start your own. Perhaps best of all it is one of the easiest ways to get your content ranked highly on Google very easily.
The question and answer format of Reddit also makes it very easy to seek out and find the best sub-reddits to post your content to maximise your conversions.

Step 1 – Know Your Market
Unlike other platforms with this the first thing we want to consider is the persona that we are going to be trying to market to. The reason being is that this is going to direct and guide our research into which sub-reddits we are either going to be targeting or starting ourselves. The rule of thumb is that if you are trying to recruit sub-affiliates then as with other strategies you are looking for people who want Financial Freedom – that means people who are money motivated but don’t think that limits you because ultimately most people are money motivated. Step 2 – Do Your Research
Having figured out which personas you are going to target it will become pretty easy to select which sub-reddits you are going to be marketing. Once you have done this make a shortlist of the sub-reddits you are going to be posting on and come up with a plan for how and when you are going to be posting content. Have a look through the sub-reddits and you will undoubtedly see others marketing something – see what the successful ones are doing with regard to frequency of posts and what their content involves and then base your plan around that – you could even just try and recruit them as a sub-affiliate directly.
Step 3 – Start Posting, Commenting and Generally Interacting
By now your research and buying persona study will have enabled you to know who you are trying to target, which sub-reddits they are active on and how you want to interact with them. You will want to implement your plan and design content ahead of time which you can then post in multiple places in order to broaden your reach. You will also want to leave comments and keep an eye out for any posts asking for recommendations as these are going to be far easier to convert than others.
Step 4 – Keep it Going
You have probably figured out by now that this approach requires time to be spent on your selected sub-reddits both looking for opportunities to comment and posting your content. This is not a one shot thing – if your first post gets a great many conversions then that is fantastic but it does not mean that you can stop there. You need to be posting a lot of content regularly to achieve the optimal conversion rate. Think about when you are online you normally have to be prompted to do something several times before you take action even if you were interested to begin with. So keep the content coming and the conversions will surely follow.
